Competition

Guitar Salon Belgrade presents first online classical guitar competition.
The competition is open for young artists, born after January the 1st 2006.

THE COMPETITION WILL BE HELD IN THREE CATEGORIES:

CATEGORY I – Candidates born in 2010 or younger
–  Required composition: Andantino J. K. Mertz  Download
–  Program of the candidate’s choice
–  Duration 3-5 minutes

CATEGORY II – Candidates born in 2008 or younger
–  Required composition: Etude No.18 J. S. Sagreras Download
–  Program of the candidate’s choice
–  Duration 5-8 minuntes

CATEGORY III – Candidates born in 2006 or younger
–  Required composition: Rosita Polka F. Tarrega Download
–  Program of the candidate’s choice
–  Duration 8-10 minutes

The deadline for submission of applications is December 1st, 2020.

CANDIDATES SHOULD SEND THE FOLLOWING TO office@guitarsalonbelgrade.com
–  Completed APPLICATION FORM 
–  A copy of identity card or passport
–  Proof of payment 25 EUR (the registration fee)  ⇒ PAYMENT INSTRUCTION EUR     /     PAYMENT INSTRUCTION USD
–  Wetransfer video file link

VIDEO FILE REQUIREMENTS:

–  At the beginning of the video you should say: “Name and Surname – online competition Guitar Salon Belgrade 2020”
–  The video recording should be made in one take and should not be edited at all.
–  At all times in the video the contestant must be visible to ensure that the video and performance is authentic.
–  The quality of the video must be adequate, audibly and visually, for the judges to be able to make an informed decision. 
–  Any videos deemed to be edited will not be accepted and jury reserves the right to disqualify any such entries.
–  The title of the video must be GSB 2020 and your name, eg. “GSB 2020 – John Smith”
–  The video must be uploaded and sent via www.wetransfer.com 

Failure to follow these instructions may make your application invalid.

Candidates must perform their program by heart.

The Jury will consist of prominent national and international guitar players and pedagogues.

The decisions of the Jury are irrevocable.

The competition will be announced on the official youtube channel, website and facebook page on December 14th 2020

Official results shall be announced on the official youtube channel, website, facebook page and instagram on December 15th 2020

CATEGORY I
1st prize  – 80 EUR + Gift Voucher (100 EUR) for the purchase of a guitar at the Guitar Salon Belgrade 
2nd prize – 50 EUR 
3rd prize  – 30 EUR 
4th prize  – GSB gift
5th prize  – GSB gift
The Special prize for best performance of the required composition – Guitar compositions collection

CATEGORY II
1st prize – 100 EUR + Gift Voucher (150 EUR) for the purchase of a guitar at the Guitar Salon Belgrade
2st prize  –  70 EUR 
3rd prize  –  40 EUR
4th prize  –  GSB gift
5th prize  –  GSB gift
The special prize for best performance of the required composition – Guitar compositions collection

CATEGORY III 
1st prize  – 150 EUR + Gift Voucher (200 EUR) for the purchase of a guitar at the Guitar Salon Belgrade 
2nd prize – 100 EUR + strings
3rd prize  –   50 EUR + strings
4th prize  –  GSB gift
5th prize  –  GSB gift

The Guitar Salon Belgrade reserves all rights to record and broadcast the competition and contestants cannot claim financial compensation by the organizer.

Competition Organization Board reserves the right to make potential changes.
